Michael Pisseri is an experienced educator, school leader, and current Social Studies and Intervention Teacher in the New York City Public Schools system. Based in Fairfield, Connecticut, he brings decades of experience in education, leadership, and student development. Michael led the transformation of a previously low-performing school into one of the highest-performing schools in Stamford within seven years. Under his leadership, the school earned recognition as a Connecticut School of Distinction (2019) and received a Banner School Award for positive school climate (2016). Michael has also been recognized as a Teacher of the Year finalist in Westport Public Schools and has presented at a national STEM conference at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in 2024. His work is driven by a commitment to continuous growth, student impact, and building strong, trust-based relationships within school communities.
